Rules and Guidelines
   
RULES
  • No vehicle movement will be allowed on the observing field after dark.
  • No white light after sundown except in emergencies
  • Do NOT touch a telescope without the owners permission
  • No open fires
  • Due to possible winds; Tents and canopies MUST be secured at all 4 corners ***
  • The use of laser pointers is PROHIBITED at PSP... perpertraitors will be asked to refrain or leave promptly.
  • No generators in the camping/observing area
  • No loud music at any time
    (Good music is a matter of taste, and not all have the same taste)
  • No telescope setups on driving lanes please (incase of emergency)
  • No Flash Photography
  • For the safety of Children and other site users, limit Speed to 10MPH.
  • Keep an eye on children;
    Children are always welcome at all of our star parties, but parents MUST supervise their behavior at ALL times. Small children are more likely to trip and get hurt, become lost, or bump into and damage expensive equipment.
 
GUIDELINES
  • ID badges should be worn on entering and exiting the site
  • Quiet hours are from 11pm to 10am
  • Smoking in observing areas is discouraged. Please police your butts!! (Andy, DON'T !!)
  • RV, trailer, and camper lights MUST be off unless properly shielded
  • Flashlights MUST be equipped with red filters
  • Laptop screens should be shielded
  • Warning shouts in the event of white light are encouraged (count down 10-9-8-etc)
  • Vehicles should not be driven after dark without an escort
  • PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE DARK; If you MUST arrive after dark please wait in the lower carpark and ring Rich on (07737 719692) for a guided escort on to the observing field.
  • If you're a visitor or a newbie, try not to monopolize another person's time. The astronomers are there to enjoy the sky, not to give lessons.
  • Do NOT climb over fences.
 
SITE DESCRIPTION
  • On arrival please login with reception and ask for PSP information pack & Disclaimer sheet.
  • Hospitality area is obvious, see you there if the cloud comes in !!
  • Shower/toilet Block is provided next to hospitality (PUB) :o)
  • Waste disposal facilities are located around the site, please use them.
